The roots of the FPG story can be traced back to one man, Mick Finn, and his 20 years spent working in distribution and export for CSR Building Products across PNG and the Pacific Islands.
When CSR decided to disband the division, Mick and his wife Carol took it over as a new company that they named Pacific Islands International (PII) – the first in a fleet of businesses that would eventually come under the umbrella of parent company, the Finn Pacific Group (FPG).
Drawing on the network of close working relationships Mick had built during his time at CSR, PII became a hugely successful supplier of a diverse range of quality building materials and products.
After Mick Finn sadly passed away in 2008, his children, Ashley and Renee, joined Carol in steering what would become FPG to its present day incarnation – that of a thriving and multi-faceted business with a diverse portfolio that now includes electrical solutions provider Power Protection Industries, all connected by a shared commitment to family values, honesty and reliability.
